![]() After all I am buying it to drive, not trade. I put the deposit down for petrol Prado, but am still agonizing if I should change it for diesel. However, it's over 30k extra for the same bells and whistles as in Kakadu. I prefer driving my old man's 200 to my new 150 any day of the week.I drove 200 Cruiser and like it very much. If the Cruiser is an option for you, go for it, they are amazing to drive. No question when comparing the 150 to a 200 series Cruiser. I would appreciate a lot if you guys could share your opinion on this. They are more or less similar in specs (except for torque, of course), and for the same price Prado has more toys. The reason I am asking all this is that I am still hesitating between petrol Prado and diesel Landcruiser 200. Does it affect offroad driving? Is the petrol consumption offroad goes through the roof? What is real life petrol consumption? Obviously, petrol engine has less torque. ![]() I am gravitating towards 200 kW petrol Prado and want to ask people who have them about their opinions. I tried switching the gear box to manual and downshifting, but the effect was more or less the same. Very sluggish acceleration, and I suspect when fully loaded and slightly uphill overtaking can be a dodgy issue. Except for overtaking on the highway at higher speeds. I drove 2.8 diesel Prado and found it quite nicely behaving vehicle. I am aware that over 80% of all Prado sales are diesel.
